It recounts some of "the trail magic" he finds in Patagonia and the kindness of strangers he finds while hiking, including Patagonia's "unofficial mayor" Lars Marshall who offered him a place to stay at his house, Javalina Cantina, a kind post office employee here who retrieved after closing hours a package of trail foods mailed ahead, and tips and information on locations and logistics for hiking The Arizona Trail from its start at the Mexico border for 800 miles to Utah.
Patagonia is the location for linking together two segments of The Arizona Trail with Phase I of The META Trail to be inaugurated here on Saturday, April 25th.
